  • It’s a fun, interactive one-hour program where you’ll leave with the tools - postural stretches and exercises - to stand to sit up straighter, walk with efficiency and balance, and breathe more naturally and optimally.
  • Last year we approached the 100 person capacity. Please register in advance (required) for the class in the link below:

Joey Zimet is a Postural Therapist with a private practice in NYC. He has a deep passion for helping people eliminate pain and function more optimally. Zimet holds an Advanced Master’s Degree (Ed.M.) in Applied Exercise Physiology from Teachers College, Columbia University, an M.S. in Education, and a B.S. with Honors from Rutgers University in Exercise Science. In addition to helping individual clients, Joey  guest lectures at various businesses and schools, and has taught a weekly Postural Therapy Movement Class at Columbia University

Remember that feeling of walking with a spring in your step, maintaining great posture naturally, and feeling good most of the time? Toddlers innately have it! Why do we lose that bouncy and light feeling and begin to slouch, hunch, and develop those “normal” aches and pain?  Our “normal” aging process might not have to occur at that “normal” rate.

Joey Zimet and OZ invite you to join in a Postural Therapy Movement Class in which you’ll gain deep insights on Posture and its relation to your health. Rather than a simple lecture, the class will be comprised of easy-to-do, impactful Postural stretches and exercises that you can do at home or by your desk (standing and sitting). Joey will be weaving in key points as to what we’re achieving with the movements and why they’re important in terms of maintaining long term musculoskeletal health and function.

The goal is for you to regain the template for what optimal posture FEELS like, how to recognize when your body is moving away from it (those subtle signs), and the knowledge to think critically about why you have your “normal” aches and pains. Most importantly, you’ll leave with the tools – through simple and fun movements - to stand or “sit up straight”, walk with efficiency and balance, and breath more naturally and optimally….the way toddlers innately do!
