Thirteen years ago Sofia Khaski and her husband Jerome moved to the Upper West Side from France, Sofia Khaski was born in Paris and received her English degree from the British Council School, after which she joined the H. J. Heinz Company as the Ocean Freight Procurement Manager. Sofia was very early committed to her community in Paris and an active member in her shul, which is where she met Jerome. A few years after their eldest, Josh, was born, the Khaski’s moved to the Upper West Side.
When they arrived in NYC, Sofia had volunteered and chaired many PTA committees and events at Yeshiva Ketana of Manhattan over the past years. Working closely with the administration of the school, afterward, Sofia became Morah Sofia, the community's young leader.
In the upper west side community, Morah Sofia directed and produced shows like "Annie" for girls only a huge success, every girl was a shining star. She created and developed for Yeshiva Ketanna an after school program for all grades. Today, as the Director of the after school program she brings her European twist to fun learning by offering activities that are academic, physical and artistic.
