SepSeptember 22 , 2024OZ Youth Shofar Workshop: A Mitvah Morning Activity
Sunday, Sep 22nd 10:00a
Join us for a fun and educational Shofar Workshop, perfect for children ages 3 and up, along with their parents and guardians! As part of the shul's Mitzvah Morning program, this interactive session begins at 10 am, following the main kickoff at 9 am. Kids will have the opportunity to learn about the shofar, explore how it's made, and even try their hand at making sounds with this special instrument. This workshop offers a hands-on experience that will engage both young and old in the excitement of preparing for the High Holidays. Entry is $10 per family—come and join us for a morning of learning, fun, and mitzvah! -

A paradox: We live in webs of relationships, influencing and being influenced for good or ill. Yet, our lives' moral/religious value depends on each of us alone. Webs empower, but they also set limits, and these limits sometimes need to be faced and overcome by the assertion of individual will. How is this possible? Perhaps an ideal or value transcends the web and its power. Reflections based on a talk by Rav Shager -
