Dov Kalmanovich, Deputy mayor of Jerusalem, is a seventh generation Jerusalamite. In December 1987, while traveling from Jerusalem to his home in Beit-El a Palestinian terrorist threw a molotov cocktail at his car, causing severe burns to over half his body. After many years of recovery, Dov continued on to a successful career as a C.P.A. and after returning to live in Jerusalem, was elected as deputy mayor of the city in 2013. He currently holds the education and tourism portfolios in the Jerusalem city council and is the voice of terrorist victims and their families.

Dov is the founder of the Zochrim (Remembrance) Organization - This organization fulfills an important role keeping the entire people of Israel together with hope, while giving them the ability to cope with grief and bereavement resulted from terror acts.
