Here is an exercise: Think about a difficult moment in your life--a time  in which you felt sure that you would lose something or someone, or suffer some other hardship.. Then, suddenly there was  an unexpected turn of events and you were saved, almost as if by a miracle. What, or who, brought about the unanticipated relief? Was it that you had a new idea? Or, did circumstances change? or did someone else appear and help you? The most exciting "rescues" often come from the acts of outsiders, people who dare to do or think what conventional wisdom excludes or forbids. Have you ever been the "outsider" who saves someone in trouble?
