What's Happening

Dear Friends,

The terror attack in San Diego reinforces the same basic themes. 

Firstly, we are very, very safe. These kinds of attacks are the exceptions that prove the rule. The odds of getting attacked are still one in a million. 

Second, terrorists pick easy targets. They do reconnaissance and plan ahead. A shul that has a visible presence outside, of professional-looking people keeping an eye on things, is exactly the kind of shul a would-be terrorist would prefer to avoid. 

That being said ... WE STILL NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS!

I implore you to please sign up - we are talking about the safety of you, your friends, and your loved ones.  Please note - all volunteers will be waived the Security Fee. Email css@ozny.org for more information. 

Again - please give serious thought to signing up for CSS. Now is the time. (For you singles- being on CSS is a great way to mingle with other singles!) Email to CSS@ozny.org.

At the Spring Membership Meeting at the end of May, we will discuss upgrades to our security equipment infrastructure and updates to our security protocol.
