Dear OZ family,

You may recall that during Covid, the Wall Street Journal printed a story about  a woman named Bina, who takes a daily stroll in in Central Park, reads Torah and recites Tehillim on the park benches, and squeezes every bit of goodness and joy out of daily activity. Bina was on the kindertransport as a child, that spared her the fate shared by so many of her family members. You would never know that she suffered such upheaval so early in life. She is always so pleasant and has such an optimistic outlook on life. Bina was just rushed to the hospital and needs a refuah. Please say Tehillim for Bina bas Feyga Leah. May she have a swift recovery and may she get back to her bench in Central Park in time for the warmer weather that will soon be upon us.

The political situation in Israel is beginning to boil over and the hatred of Jew against Jew is palpable. This must make us redouble our own efforts of Ahavat Yisrael, to eliminate all vestiges of Sin’at Chinam, and Lashon Hara in our own midst. It may not change the situation in Israel, but it will make us better. I announced last week, that we would have a ZOOM session this Wednesday evening at 7pm, to present the history of the current political struggles between the Knesset and the Israeli Supreme Court. A flyer of the event is attached below, with a description of the program and the presenter, Yotam Eyal - www.OZNY.org/Forum.

Stay well and healthy.
