Dear OZ family,
I came to a very telling experience yesterday in the 96th St. subway station. As soon as I reached the landing, an African American man dressed in army fatigues came over to me and cheerfully said Shalom. He said he was a decorated army veteran who had come across hard times. He had pictures of his unit from tours he did in Iraq, and was quite proud of his service. He asked me if I could offer him some assistance and I gladly did, and blessed him with health and success. From me, he went to another person wearing a kippah, in the station and cheerfully said Shalom, and he helped him as well. He walked further away and went to a third person who was wearing a baseball cap and I could hear him say Shalom, but I couldn’t hear any more of the conversation, and he helped him a s well. This guy is either a first-rate fundraiser or he realizes the charitable nature of Am Yisrael.
People who care enough to know the truth will favor what is right. It is our job to help reveal the truth, even when it should be obvious. I am including below this brief message, the names of seriously wounded Israeli soldiers who need our prayers and Tehillim. Please have them in mind. They are almost all young kids of college age. May we see an end to this war soon, with an end of Chamas’s murderous threats to Israelis and Jews.
Stay safe and healthy.
