Dear OZ family,
There are many ways for us to continue showing our support for Israel in her time of need. We have been running fundraising campaigns for various causes, mostly life-saving in nature, and our prayers continue unabated for the success of our brave soldiers in the battlefields, as well as their resolute families at home. There is also a weekly march in Central Park that we publicized earlier today on our Whatsapp Groups that begins at Central Park West and 90th Street and circles the reservoir. They begin their trek at 11:00 am every Sunday. Our gatherings are always peaceful, never disruptive, and full of good will. We are also preliminarily planning a mission around President’s Week (mid-February), and we’d like to get a picture of the numbers of those who are interested in joining us. Please let the office know, if you’d like to attend by using this form: https://www.ozny.org/form/Mission2024
I marvel at the stoic heroism of those who are holding our country together. The man responsible for most of the pictures of the atrocities, who helped dozens of people survive those early days, is now directed hundreds of volunteers at the Zikim greenhouses. I met him with a righteous Bedouin, who is spending 18 hour days trying to keep tons of produce from rotting in the fields. He is a microcosm of the resolute Israeli who will help get our country through this difficult time. I’m sending some more pictures from these greenhouses on the Israel WhatsApp, as well as form the makeshift tunnels our soldiers are using to train to free hostages, please God, to keep them safe until they are redeemed.
Stay well and healthy
Rabbi Allen Schwartz
