Hashkama Minyan - Rabbi Blanchard's Blurb

  • We wear different types of clothing--daily work clothes, casual outfits  for relaxation, formal attire for special occasions, even items that mark moments of spiritual meaning such as a talit, a kittle, a wedding dress and veil, etc. Clothes relate to what we are doing and its meaning.  They may come with the role that we are playing or our part in the task at hand----police, medical or military uniforms, for example. Why not think about your own ways of dressing. What messages are you sending? Does what you wear put you at risk? Does it protect you? Is it  seen as special or as transporting you to special spiritual places?
